PAVING A NEW PATH
Direct funding for the 2026 fiscal year has been implemented with numerous changes affecting several aspects of the Nusantara Fund system. These changes include the impact analysis process and Nusantara Fund’s monitoring, evaluation, and learning processes. Regarding impact analysis, we decided to strengthen the qualitative analysis so that it can provide a more detailed and concrete picture of the figures we present as quantitative impacts. Meanwhile, in the monitoring, evaluation, and learning process, we have added several aspects to the assessment tools, ranging from the accuracy of funding allocation, changes within the community, to the involvement of women and youth.
In its third year, Nusantara Fund has continued its impact analysis during the implementation of cycle 3 direct funding and the 2025 allocation, with 157 reports from initiatives led by Indigenous Peoples, Peasants, Fisherfolk, Women, and the Youth. The purpose of this Impact Report is to provide a detailed account of the process and results of the impact analysis, which was conducted and validated in collaboration with AMAN, KPA, and WALHI as well as the lessons learned that can inform improvements to direct funding practices and mechanisms.
